Hey! I’m Christine, a traveling American English teacher who helps adults learn English for their own adventures abroad. Teaching, traveling, and learning are my three biggest passions. Learn more about my qualifications as an English teacher here.

Who I Help

Learning Around the Globe is a community of English learners and adventure seekers.

I teach students who want to improve their English for traveling, living/studying abroad, or moving abroad. 

I help High-Beginner(A2) through Low Advanced (C1) students work towards speaking English fluently. The goal of my classes is to help students speak fluently; however, classes include practice in other parts of English: grammar, pronunciation, listening, vocabulary, reading, and writing.  All of these parts are important when learning to speak fluently.

I believe that in today’s world, English can open a lot of doors, and it takes a caring, patient, and professionally trained teacher to get you the results you want. 

  • At this time, I do not have classes for low-beginner students (A1) or students who are High-Advanced (C2) levels.
  • I am not a pronunciation coach. Pronunciation lessons in my classes focus on being understood when speaking. I do not help students erase their accents.

Group Classes

Classes open at the beginning of every month.

Practice speaking in a casual environment. Gain confidence, have your mistakes corrected (pronunciation/grammar) so that listeners understand you, and practice speaking and listening fluently in groups. There are up to 6 students per class. Payments are $40 USD for 4 classes per month.

Levels A2-B1: Mondays at 11:00 AM EST

Dates: October 2, 16, 23, 30th. **No class on Oct. 9th**

Levels B2-C1: Wednesdays at 12:00 PM EST

Dates: October 4, 18, 25th, and Nov 1. **No class on Oct. 11th**

*Grammar and pronunciation will not be explicitly taught in this course. The purpose is speaking.*

Prices for One-to-One Classes

Sign up for a $10 1-hour introduction/trial lesson before deciding if you want to become my student. In this class, we will:

  • Introduce ourselves
  • Talk about your English placement test
  • Decide on your English goals
  • Talk about how I can best help you meet your English goals
  • Discuss the best dates and times to meet (I recommend meeting twice a week if you want to improve your English skills.)
  • Decide on a payment method (if you choose to become my student). The most popular options are Paypal, Wise, or Venmo.
  • Answer any questions you have

Choosing a Bundle

Talk to me in the trial lesson to learn about the rules of purchasing and using a bundle of lessons.

Buying a bundle of classes means you pay for a group of classes together.

  • 4 class bundle is great if you are looking to have one class per week.
  • 8 class bundle is great if you are looking to have two classes per week.
